Restoration of the Church

Since the church's completion in 1896, time and the elements have take their toll on the structure. Problems in the roof led to water damage that has had impact throughout the building.

Since 1999, an ambitious program of restoration and repair has been undertaken. Progress so far includes:

  • Replacement of the church roof, finally resolving the decades-old roof leaks

  • Restoration of the chapel and parlor

  • Renovation of the social hall

  • Refinishing sanctuary floors and replacement of carpet runners

Future projects include:

  • Restoration/replacement of parlor windows

  • Re-pointing of exterior stonework

  • Restoration of sanctuary walls

  • Restoration of stained glass windows

All of these projects require significant financial investment, and the congregation is developing plans for raising the necessary resources. We welcome those who have an interest in historic preservation and restoration to join in our efforts.
