Our magnificent bell tower needs help. Restoration of the full structural integrity of the wood frame will not be difficult, but raising the funds to pay for the necessary engineering work will be a real challenge.

Game Plan

Phase One = Identification of problems and initial corrective action (drainage and roofing issues) [Done]

Phase Three = Engineering and planning for tower repairs [to be determined]

Phase Four = Tower Repairs [to be determined].

                             Our goal is to raise
                      $20,000.00 for Phase Three.

We are fortunate in this campaign to enjoy the interest and support of the National Trust for Historic Preservation as well as the local Washington, DC news media, i.e., www.InTowner.com (February 2011 issue); http://www.tbd.com/news/v/37256591/historic-church-infested-by-termites.htm?q=Church+of+the+Holy+City, but only your donations will enable us to carry out the needed work. We have named Phase Three of the project for two beloved, deceased members of our church, Gus and Mary Ebel, who worked tirelessly for many years in many ways to support the Church of the Holy City.
